I just found out that the C4 Picasso has double taillights due to its clamshell type rear hatch. It needs these because otherwise no lights would be seen from behind with the hatch opened. But Citroën did it nicer than most others have.

Most cars having this issue either have some lighting functions moved to the bumper permanently(like the Mini Clubman), whereas other cars have extra light units included on the edge of the boot trim(like the Opel Insignia).

However, Citroën decided to just include extra blinkers and tails in the reflector cluster on the lower bumper, which are only activated when the hatch is opened. So in normal operation it just uses the normal 3D effect lights, which are awesome.

I had never even noticed these, until I saw my Neighbour loading some stuff while the blinker was on. His C4 Picasso is identical to the one in the picture, and is really lovely to look at, which is partially due to the colour. I’m still slightly disappointed my dad didn’t get his 308 SW in this colour, that would have been nicer and more unique than the blue-ish grey colour he’s got now. I do like that too, but almost every 308 SW I see on the road is that colour.

I love the C4 Picasso! Best looking MPV for sale right now IMO.

Yes definetely, though the new Scenic looks promissing, but I need to see that one in the metal to see if the standard 20" wheels look nice or a tad too big.

I believe Audi does this as well for their SUVs, but Citroën did a great job integrating the lower lights. So good that my family rented a C4 Picasso for a week last year and I had no clue about those lights.

Does the DS5 count as a MPV? Because damn, it looks good.

Nah it doesn’t. It’s not nearly big enough inside! Although I do agree that it looks great. A bit overstyled maybe, but it still works.

No, it’s just a big hatchback away from which buyers stay in quite large numbers.
